The Stage 32 Videos: Experimental Very Short Film

Indefinido - Miguel Dario

Suspended somewhere between memory and perception, Indefinido (Indefinite) traces the fractured path of an anonymous presence. It begins with the electric hiss of a radio struggling to hold onto voices lost in static. Everyday objects—keys, footsteps on asphalt, an eye observing—appear as scattered clues to a story that never fully reveals itself. The world surrounding the protagonist seems caught in transition: buildings under construction, an abandoned house, the empty shell of a train carriage. Suddenly, the image accelerates as if rushing through someone else’s memories—roads blurring into trees, wooden structures flashing in and out, signs of a past perhaps broken. In the end, the same walker returns over their own footsteps, now approaching the camera, while two brief crimson visions rupture the silence like a warning or a repressed recollection. Through this sensory journey without certainties, Indefinite explores the threshold between what we see, what we hear, and everything that slips between the two: what cannot be defined.

Conexión - Miguel Dario

Conexión is an experimental reflection on modern society. A dense web of cables becomes the metaphorical thread linking us together—yet also pulling us apart. In a looping, black-and-white visual flow, overlapping images merge into a carousel of symbols shaped by time, repetition, and routine. Through fragments that collide and intertwine, the film portrays the paradox of contemporary life: we are constantly connected, yet increasingly isolated. In just one minute and thirty seconds, Connection captures the tension between unity and distance, illustrating how the same systems that bind us can also fragment our sense of self.
